Essay Contest :
Purpose: The Los Angeles Chinese Consolidated  Benevolent Association (LACCBA)羅省中華會館 is
organizing an essay contest in memory of the 150th birthday of Dr. Sun Yat Sen who was the founding father of
the Republic of China ( 中華民國) 。
Awards:
All winners are invited to an Awards Banquet/Ceremony which will be held on July 04, 2016. The scholarships
will be awarded. In order to receive their scholarships, winners must be present at the banquet/ceremony.
The scholarship checks will not be mailed.

Contest Topics:

Please select one of the following topics below. 
1.     Why is Dr. Sun Yat-Sen a respected and admirable political figure?
2. Discuss the legacy and implementation of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen’s ";The Three Principles of the People";
(San-min Doctrine, 三民主義) and how it influences the Republic of China, Taiwan.
3. Provide a political comparison between the 16th president of the United States,
President Abraham Lincoln and Dr. Sun Yat-Sen.
